As far as I know, OSX isnt like OS9 in that respect.
Upon further research, I found that the feature was removed from OSX.

because OS9 doesnt like it. It wasnt really designed to be a multiuser OS, at least with files being passed between user partitions. Just a ton of problems seem to come from OS9 when you introduce more than once main user (sys admin level) or overlap privliages. OS9 has a lot of problems, period. OSX doesnt allow this (>1 sys admin) and allows user creation to be seamless, with only one system admin and varying levels of access for the other levels.

Remember Windows 98? How bad that was with multiusers? OS X somewhat introduced the multiuser thing much like Windows XP did to the Windows World.

The old OSes are not exactly equal however. In Windows 98, there is a slight oversight that you can get into the computer with full rights...and hence the ability to edit user settings and files.........merely by clicking the CANCEL button! While Mac OS 9 may not be perfectly oriented for multiusers, I doubt it could be that bad..........(or is it???)

Haha, I remember using that Win98 trick a lot back during the summers where I hung out at this youth place and they never had the passcodes for the comps. :D
OS9 can handle multiusers, but OSX was the OS Apple really put its confidence in to allow multiple users. So, in other words, if you have to make OS9 multiuser, you can, just it isnt favorable if at all avoidable.
