just a few questions as a newbie here:
I'm connecting two PC's so they can share a DSL connection and also one be a server for the other one. but one will use cables to connect to the router and the other wireless. is the Linksys AP & Router combination a good bet or should i get a router and AP separately?
thanx in advance

No the wireless router from Linksys would be fine.
The BEFW11S4 would be a simple 802.11b choice and WRT54G if you wanted to go with 802.11g.
Now, when you say, you want to have a pc act as a server, are you referring to a simple file/print server?

yes i was referring to a very simple file/print server. i only have one printer and i don't wanna get another one and don't want to move a 20GB partition of files to a new drive.
also what's a good wireless adaptor to work with the Linksys router? thanx

Your setup will be fine I believe. Any adaptor will work with Linksys, but since you have a Linksys router, you might as well just stick with the Linksys line of equipment. Just make sure if you have a 802.11b router you get the 802.11b adaptor. You have a few choices here with USB adaptors or PCI Card adaptors if its a desktop and PCMCIA cards if its a laptop. My experience has been that if you have an open slot its better to use a card than a USB adaptor for more reliability, and the fact you're keeping your USB ports open.

your router will enable internet sharing for all machines connected to it using NAT (i think). you do not need a dedicated print server, just connect printer to a computer and share it through windows. those suggestions on the netowrk card are good. stick with the same brand if you can, it may avoid potential headaches.
