Hi!
I'm looking for a way to get into linux from DOS.
I'm running the folowing configurtation:
/hda1/ -> FAT16/"Win98"
/hda5/ -> FAT16
/hdb1/ -> FAT16
/hdb2/ -> Ext3/"RedHat Linux 8" (psyche)
Currently the system boot's into Windows 98 so I'm looking for a way to boot into the Linux configuration on hdb2.
Please help!
Best Regards,
Snt

Do you have much configured on your Linux system?
The reason why I ask is that an alternative solution is to reinstall Linux as it will then write another entry into the boot record allowing you to choose at boot.
Or you could just add an entry manually...but I wouldn't be able to explain that.

look on your install cds for /dosutils/ -- in there is one called loadlin
when you get booted into linux -- setup grub or lilo

Hi!
Thanks for your replies,
I haven't got the Linux instalation CD or bootdisk but I did download the dosutils from RedHat FTP and tried loadlin.exe but the problem is, I do not have the imagefiles anymore so the setup wouldn't work and I would like to keep my existing Linux configuration since it's fully configured to my needs ;)
Let me know if it would be possible to use Loadlin.exe to get back into an existing linux.
Best Regards,
