Hello can any one out there clear this up for me.

I live in Australia whereby I have a Pal ps2 system. Im just wondering why ntsc games wouldnt work as some of my pal games have the option to display 60hz ntsc signals (which work as my tv supports this)

Theres probably a good reason but im not sure hence why im asking.

this may not prove to be the best answer but here goes..

ntsc (uc) is for american games/dvds only, ntsc (j) is f/japaneze and as you know pal is f/european games. your console can only read the games in your countries format.. by default that is. however w/a mod chip the console will play any format ps disc. keep in mind it may not display correctly but it should play.
