We have a donation system where you can become a "Contributing Member", where you will receive access to goodies that normal members don't have.
Remember, if you are a contributing member you get news delivered to you before normal members do, just one of the advantages of being a Tech Forums Contributing Member.

You can become a contributing member by making a small money donation to tech forums OR once you have made 100 post (not sapm) You will also become a contributor.

What about both? helping out and contributing? I don't mind. At this time no but within a month I can. What's the limit?

You may do both if you wish. Theres no limit on what can be donated to Tech Forums. All money recieved goes back into Tech Forums.

The contributor forum has been neglected for some time now as I coulnd find enough to give to contributers of the forums. Im now sure what Larry has been planned for it.

I've been around (looking and snooping and getting used to the board)... but have not posted much :)
I think the idea of "contributing" member is a GREAT idea.

The Contributing Member forum will proberly be reopened when vBulletin 3 goes Stable. As at present contributers have to be marked manually and vb3 will allow us to run a special forum that is automated.

yeah if every one on this forum donated $1 the forum would make about $11,000 nice way to make money but of course we'd want this money to go toward the forum not the own personal exspences though i doubt they would do that

Maybe, but really. To put everyone out only one dollar... It's not like you'll miss having that dollar around to play with or anything.:)

if they had 11,000 dollars they could expand the site into a fenominal thing. get partnerships and such. possably pay someone for a while to make a newsletter(he he ill take the job for free lol) or just expanding 11,000 dollars wont go far but will make a huge improvement and will gaurentee the site will be up for life(hopefully lol

right, well i don't think there's actually 11,000 members that are current on here, but of course the money for this forum would be awsome, i am just saying, also give back to the community ya know, that's where i think the contests would be a cool idea, doesn't have to be huge like a new rig, but maybe a hard drive, cd-burner, whatever just little trinkets that the modders can rip apart lol, but as soon as i have money again i'd be more than happy to donate money, even every month if needed, just gimme a place to mail it to =)

ya know, I'd like to donate money too, but I can't do it thru any PayPal stupid thing cuz no one wants to give me a credit card. How would I go about mailing? It may not be much but hey, it'd be a token of appreciation for all the help and enjoyment I've gotten.
