I've just found this thread. Maybe you have the answers already, but just in case:

ITIL is actually the emerging standard for IT Service Management. Yes, it's quite new, but certainly has critical mass already.

Although it is intended for corporate application, part and parcel is a set of examinations for individual certification. These are set at three levels: Foundation, Practioner and Management.

That's the background - now to answer your questions:

1) The exams can be taking in many many places. [URL=http://www.prometric.com]Prometric[/URL] (specialists in exam processes) have 30,000 such locations. For your nearest, search their site . The exam costs something in the region of $125

2) Training? Most people seem to go for online training. The most populer seems to [URL=http://www.itil-training.net]ITIL Training World[/URL] at $199

For more information, there are plenty of commercial sites, such as [URL=http://www.itil-itsm-world.com]ITIL World[/URL], but maybe the best place to dig around is the [URL=http://www.itilcommunity.com]ITIL User Group[/URL]
