Is it really hard to goto www.newegg.com and look up prices ?

Posted by: RainDownMyBlues

Oh wow, that's not bad. I thought they were around 600-650.

Posted by: mikee

does newegg.com use canadian dollars though?

Posted by: PZEROFGH

if your going to buy a 7800GT you can just spend like 30-100 dollars more to buy the GTX...????

Posted by: GuitarFreak1857

i'd get the 7800GTX by XFX for 550, it all depends on how much money you want to spend on performance. the XFX verson of that GPU is overclocked at 490Mhz. the stock being 430Mhz i believe. the XFX is the highest clocked, then the BFG Tech, then the eVGA then all the others. :D hope that info helps

fastest card on the market and about 30 dollars more, but you want a quality card rather then having to repair the card

Posted by: timmer

wow how useless are u? come on man if u cant figure that out without someone help please. search the forums or something!

Posted by: GuitarFreak1857

PZEROFGH, the eVGA and the XFX board are clocked the same :D

Posted by: PZEROFGH

i know but the title says its the fastest card on the market,. and i think everyone trusts eVGA

from the newegg site

no the one OCed at 490MHz is $550. they're two XFX cards that are priced at 499, the 128MB version clocked at 490Mhz and the 256 version clocked at 450Mhz

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150104

^^ that card is the 256 version at 490Mhz which is why it is 50 dollars more. because of the clock speed.

i trust eVGA too but i mean what's the difference? you can save 10 bucks by buying the XFX version with BF2 and its clocked at the same speed. the eVGA version doesnt have VIVO. just wanted to point that out to you.

PZEROFGH yes the eVGA version is the fastest because its original speed is 490Mhz but i mean if you don't plan on OCing then just buy the XFX version. the eVGA version may be OCable to high speeds. but they're the same speed. i don't know if its possible to OC a pre-OCed board...
