I just built a computer. I built it with 512MB PC3200. Would it increase my performance at all if I added an old stick of 512MB PC266?

no, then all your ram is running at pc266

which is pretty slow

you might be able to sale it for people who keep their old systems and just keep on upgrading and upgrading and never want to throw away their computer...you can give it a try

I know it was said, but I have seen quite a few people make this mistake. DO NOT put in the DDR266, it will DECREASE your performance.
