I'm sorry, I'm posting this again; I think I posted it in the wrong forum earlier:

This is my first time building a PC, and I need a bit of help.

I would like an Intel processor at least 2.5 GHz, but don't know which to get. Please make a suggestion.

Also, I need to know which motherboard to pair it with, and what kind of RAM it will need.

By the way, upgradability is a must- if I want to put in new parts in a year, I'd like to be able to.

In a year, who knows, amd is going for M2, and intel is going to start new chipset probably, support for virtualization and 40nm, maybe. So suggestions can be given. You could buy a socket 939 board and wait a year for the current x2s to drop in price and thats about it, same goes for intel, except it includes their presler and smithfield cores, but not conroe.
