Whats an excellent monitor for overall use but mostly on games and videos e.g anime...my budget is around $1500AUD...any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would go with a samsung Syncmaster 204T: 1600 x 1200, 16ms response, 700:1 Contrast, DVI/VGA, 300 brightness.

The lower the ms the better the monitor. Acer makes a nice 17" thats 8ms and on newegg its $214 plus shipping

Both these products are sony...i only looked up sony cause i haerd they were quality products...what do you think??

how bout a freaking CRT.. they are still the best if you get the good ones.. :

Those 2 brand are probably the best CRTs u can buy. They are expensive tho, good iiyamas will go for at leasst 600$ new. The Mitsu DP 2060u can get for round 250-300 on ebay. the 2070 is more expensive. They are hard to find tho in general (good crts)

Then agian u can go LCD if u want, low MS the better.

Can you answer my question directly about the sony 17"LCD MONITOR PREMIUM HOME SERIES silver SDMHX73...i would like to get this monitor but id like some suggestions from people and if anyone could find a review for this monitor could they please post it here.

btw see alot of people go for the viewsonic 191b and what do you people think about this also:
