Good for the price?
I have the rest.. but will my sound card fit into that motherboard?
I have a 4600 dimesion dell.
Will my sound card and my cd and dvd drives fit into that case and stuff?
Please tell me if theres anyway I can save some money too.
Without the loss of a bunch of performance.
This IS a gaming pc.

Sound cards use the universal PCI interface, it will fit. DVD drives will fit too. Your gonna have to either use their IDE cables or yours though.
Good parts for the price.

Thanks, The only problem is.. finding out how to make 300+ more dollars.. X_X

You could save some cash by going with a different mobo. The one you posted is SLI but you don't need that if your only going to get one 6600GT. You might want to add another one later though....

Can you guys give me a suggestion?
I was just looking for one with 16x for PCI-E because they stopped making APG from what I hear.

ASUS is the best manufacturer as far as mobos go?
Posted by: j4ckaL
I believe they are very good. DFI is the favorite of overclockers however.

How about that?
Anything wrong with it?
It would save me almost 100 dollars from my first mobo choice.

Someone please reply... I need an answer ASAP.

Sounds ok, motherboards really depend up to you, looks ok from what I can see.

Asus mobos are the best for Intel, but they absolutely suck for AMD
Posted by: Execute
So whats the best for AMD?
Posted by: Ste
what about a good power supply, I recommend Antec or OCZ.
Posted by: Execute
My case comes with a power supply.
I will buy one when and if that one dies.
Posted by: KMOTE
no, get a separate PSU from a reputable company instead of the one in your case- use that one (the one in your case) as a spare in the unlikely event that yours breaks.
that mobo you suggested first was the wrong choice if you are not planning on two 6600GTs
Posted by: Execute
Then someone please suggest one.
Ill probably get a power supply.
I just need to figure out which mobo to get first..
I might get this:

What do you guys think?

For motherboards I would go with Gigabyte or DFI-Lanparty for AMD, nothing else, but thats just my .02 from expierence.

The MSI mobo is quite good, i own one myself. It just has one quirk...it cant handle 3 or 4 sticks of DDR 400. DDR 333, yes, but not DDR 400. So if u want 2 gigs, go with 2x gig sticks
Posted by: Execute
Alright, I guess Ill go with that mobo.
Thanks.
