Alright so I got this game from a cousin its called the sonic mega collection or something and it has seven sonic games , its for gamecube. Anyways since i never had a genesis I wanted to know if you can actually save your game on Sonic the hedgehog or Sonic 2 because on gamecube version you cant, so i see no point in playing if you loose all your progress, o and SONIC 3D sucks....Super mario RPG was a better job than Sonic 3D, I can only save my progress on Sonic 3 but I cant on Sonic and Knuckles either, even though on the computer version u can .

so whats the dealio?

I have all of those games you've mentioned, and I don't recall being able to save my progress. Sonic 3D is better on the Sega Saturn too, because I believe the Saturn pwns the GameCube.
