I am going (coming) to the US in a few weeks and am planning on purchasing a graphics card. What is the best card on the market? I have been looking at :

Radeon 8500LE 128mb AGP

It seems the best choice at the moment.

Any ideas/advice???

There are some others you can choose from as well (similar price range):

GeForce4 Ti 4200 64mb/128mb
Radeon 9000 Pro 64mb (though performance not as high as any 8500)

OK, it is now a direct toss up between:

Radeon 8500LE 128mb AGP

and

GeForce4 Ti 4200 128Mb

I have a P4 1.6Ghz processor and 228Mb RAM.

which do you suggest?

It will be used for gaming mostly.

Well if you need more features, as well as much better video playback, then the ATI 8500LE. The GF4 Ti 4200 if you prefer pure performance.
