Can I register for IRC or MIRC with out paying???? Can some one give me a run over of the difference between the two????

IRC is an internet protocol, and it stands for Internet Relay Chat.
It just a way of sending and getting information, designed primarily for chats.

MIRC is a program which allows you to use this protocol and engage chats, download files [as i'm doing right at the moment with mIRC], and all kinds of stuff.

You don't have to register to IRC, but in order to use MIRC, you might need to buy it.
