If you ask me, the PC Software forum should be split up.

Put up sub-forums called Windows 95/98/Me one called Windows NT4/2000 and Windows XP

Well for one thing.. I'd like to see a new color scheme if its not much work for ya Chop! ..:) It seems more Gray from here to there..

Posted by: Chopper

And whats wrong with grey?:( i like the look of the forum. it looks techie. and its a one of a kind style. and a lot of work and money went into making it:)

what ill do is get another cool style made up, a more colourful one. and ill have it on the forum as well as this one so you can choose in your control panel:)

but itll take a little work and money. so just sit tight and i will see what i can come up with.

cheers

There's nothing wrong with gray ... infact I like gray myself. How bout err.. adding abit of color that's less gray? coz there's gray all around.. dont mean to offend you or anything.

add a forum called Gallery or Showoff for ppl that want to show off their images and/or layouts for websites

Im keeping clear of those topics cause one of my partnering sites has all those topics.
FWT Webmaster Fourm has them. please post that sort of stuff there.

and at the same time youll be helping Tech Forums, cause when we look after our partners they help us out to.

1) why 80x80? do you think the current size is to small?
2)do you mean a forum so members can submit links to differnt sites?

whats every one else think about this?

cheers

Posted by: Deadmonkey

a case modding forum. :)

Posted by: DMo224

I think custom avatars is good idea, as long as the avatars fit in the file size requirement. 80x80, that part doesn't make a difference to me.

Is the TopList thread = member's link section? :)

Posted by: form

80 x 80 is a decent size so is 100X 100 (although i'm happy with the current size). By making the avatars the same size you keep the forums looking somewhat consistant and balanced (just my opinion).

&

Yes..... a forum full of useful links we can share. I know my fav list probably has a few on it that might be useful to someone who is looking for information on a certain topic. Obviously some links will not be permitted in the forum depending on what rules you set for it.

80x80 would be good, i think 50x50 is a little small but its still ok.

Posted by: Chopper

Ok the new size for custom avatars is 80x80 you have to have atleast 10 post to add a custom avatar.

and you can have a custom user title when you reach 20 posts.

when you reach the required post count you can change the avatar or title in your user control panel.

Hi Good Peoples. I only joined this forum yesterday and love it already. Please bear with me, as I'm only a "newbie", but how do you actually go about creating your own personal avatar? Do you do it in PhotoShop, PaintShop Pro or similar?

Posted by: Chopper

Hi Terry welcome to Tech Forums!
You can use nearly any image software to make an avatar. the only requirment is that the avatar can't be any more than 80x80 pixels in size.
