Things to download stuff at:
www.download.com - ;)
Next thing would be sort them into alpabetical order! A-Z :)
Posted by: ApM
Next thing would be to sticky this topic as its quite useful, even more useful when we get alot more links! :)
Posted by: GrimReaper23
yea man that would take to long but I'll get to it, that is my favorite site but forgot to put it on, *me so dumb*
Posted by: ApM
Don't know but how about adding a search coloum in-side of the topic?
Like the one you have in your sig, but have it in the topic, too.
Posted by: ApM
Customize.org - Wallpapers, Apps, Apps Skins, Basicly everything you can customize via programs/windows!
Posted by: GrimReaper23
ok cool Ill put that in the new MOD section it is in alphabetical order.
Posted by: ApM
I don't know how to add the "Search Function" on to the actual topic but I see you have just added the code, do you happen to know how to actually add the Search Box?
Come to think of it, it will be pointless because your going to have it in your signature so when people scroll down they will see it anyways, hehe scrap that idea if you want.
Instead of "MODS" how about - Mods/Customizing - sound better? or.. ?
Posted by: GrimReaper23
Yea I tried the code but no work yea sure I'll chang it

can you add some australian computer shops?

I know it's not Computer stores related but it most be posted
America's Army - Probably the BEST FREE Massive multiplayer online game, ever.
www.AmericasArmy.com - I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the army, is in to FPS and likes MOH:AA type games.
9/10!
Posted by: Chankama
tigerdirect.ca is NOT a uk shop man. It's canadian. And www.bigfootcomputers.com is a specialty cooling stuff shop that is famous around Toronto, Canada.
And surely, you can add http://en.wikipedia.org to the list? :). It's great source of articles about anything. Lots of computer stuff.

like - news.bbc.co.uk
Just some people may like to read the news regarding Technology.
Posted by: GrimReaper23
Well I kinda gave up on this thread :( they hurt my fellings not making this a sticky.
Posted by: WesternCanadian
Good list. Just to clarify...
TigerDirect.ca is priced in Canadian $$s and ships FROM Canada.
TigerDirect.com is priced in US $$s and ships FROM USA.
For reasons of Customs & general border-crossing hassle/expense, it's easier to buy within the country where the supplier is. But... since 80% or more of Canadians live within 100 miles (160 kms) of the US border, maybe they wouldn't mind a drive to their nearest US border town... particularly if it's a GREAT deal...? <grin>
Posted by: WesternCanadian
And, WE would like to see the list posted again, whenever it's done. Even if the moderators don't think it's sticky material, WE appreciate your work!
Posted by: GrimReaper23
well thanks canadian , I just don't think why they wouldn't want this to be a sticky I mean if it was I would upgrade it just about everyday.
Posted by: ApM
Try PMing a Admin see if they would sticky it.
Worth a shot ;)
Posted by: GrimReaper23
well what shall I say?
Posted by: ApM
Asking to sticky this topic (http://tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49155&perpage=15&pagenumber=4) would be a start, then try something like I wouldn't add any offensive/harmful material in to the links, I would update it on a regular bases - you can check on it now and again to see if I'm doing a good job and If I'm not you can Ban me but it wouldn't come to that at all.
Try some of the above, think of something new.. think of something different, hope it helped.
Posted by: ApM
Also TIGERDIRECT.CA I don't think ships to the UK - so you may want to change this ;)
Posted by: DMo224
Sometimes, asking a Mod, Smod, or Admin via PM is better than suggesting it be sticky in the thread. If it's updated frequently, I can see that this will be a useful thread.
Stuck!
Dave :D

Dude. These are "crazy" prices. :s.. Who'd pay that much money for the "Budget Gamer" system you are offering? And who'd actually "play" any games on that. Unless u are into Tetris.

TF will not be seeing that update!!!
Posted by: Chankama
Hey man. Yeah, I am in Canada too. I knew they were Cdn $$. I don't think anyone on this website wants to buy any pre-assembled computers man. In anycase, might I suggest that you increase your prices as needed, but provide better computers? As in, when you claim something to be a "gaming" PC, you should probably have a somewhat decent video card. The "bare" minimum (with a capital B) these days for gaming should be a 9600XT at LEAST... And you will not be able to play anything like Doom 3 even on this.
Why don't u go for a AMD system man? Socket 754. Everything should be dead cheap. And chiplogic.ca lists XP Pro for $155 (oem).

Computers sites canada
http://frontierpc.com
Posted by: Chankama
Yo. You should add these under a new section called PSU calculators:
http://www.casemodgod.com/psu_calculator.htm
http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/
And this is a good site with ALL Toronto stores in Canada:
http://www.torontopcstores.com/
Posted by: Chankama
And also, under sections like "Places to buy from US" or "Places to buy from Canada", please add a small sentence at the top saying something like "Please check [Places to buy from US AND Canada] as well". b/c people might just skip this combined section when they go through the stores.
Posted by: GrimReaper23
huh you are confusing me.
Posted by: Chankama
Well all I said was that it'll be nice if there is a new section that lists the Power Supply Calculators.
And as for the second post, what I meant was since you have stores under "Where to Shop in Canada AND US", that is not present in "Where to Shop in Canada" OR "Where to Shop in US", people might not see them. I almost didn't myself. Instead of crosslisting the stores and duplicating them in all 3 catagories, I simply pointed out that if u write a small sticky under "Where to shop in US" and "Where to shop in Canada", to refer to the "Where to shop in US AND Canada" section, they might not miss those stores!
For example,
Where to buy for Canada and US
www.xoxide.com
www.zipzoomfly.com
zipzoomfly is not listed under "Where to buy for US".
Whew. Long sentence.

I dont know about the last site mentioned. I went there, and when i wanted prices, it threw me over to TigerDirect.com and they are quite expensive. Is that site like a subsidary of TigerDirect.com? Are you getting money if one is to order from TigerDirect through your site?

i dont know why this sticky was taken away, but it certainly shouldnt have been. I would like to see this as a sticky in the Hardware section AND the Overclocking section. It would be of great benefit to many people. It took me a while today to find this thread, twas far hidden in the mess of threads that is TF. :p
It is proving great use to me right now, and I know I'm not the only one who will find this thread useful. mod, please sticky it.
Thanks
Posted by: Trotter
Hmmm... I didn't move it.
Posted by: Him
Think you could move it back? I just ran into a thread with someone asking for it. It helped alot of people out and should be a sticky in several sections.

Well, I like the list.
A side note though, it would be nice to know who is the most reliable.
Posted by: Trotter
Well, that's a matter of opinion. All of the sites listed were submitted by members, so every site has been used by someone. While having their dependability ranked would have been a good thing, it wasn't thought about when the list was compiled.
