[Com Port] -

Hi all,
I have a a new computer and it only has 1 1394 port and 2 usb ports, in the front of the computer.
On my other computer I had seriel data cable ports. This makes my life a little difficult now as I used these ports for my mobile data cable.
I have a usb extension for the seriel cable but my mobile software says it is the wrong port.
Can anyone tell me how to open a new port pls?
The software only allows me to use port 1 or 2. I am a complete novice at this, so pls be gentle with me.
Can anyone help pls???:o :eek:
