Is there some manufacture out there making standard laptop hard drives (2.5 inch) at 7200RPM yet? If so, who are they?
Reason why I ask is that I am get a lot of people asking me to quote 7200RPM drive on the notebook barebones that I build.
To my knowledge, 7200RPM only come on some Desktop Replacements Notebooks when they put in a standard desktop drive into a notebook book.

If you are looking for reliability, you might wait until another manufacturer comes out with a 7200 RPM 2.5" drive.
That hitachi is fast, but you may be happy with a Toshiba or Seagate 5400 rpm drive also.
Sorry, but I have replaced way too many Hitachi drives compared to every other manufacturer. :) That goes for notebooks and desktops.

I just bought a Hitachi. I know they are not the best, but I didn't have enough money to get an 80GB Seagate.

yes i definetly have to agree that seagate is much better
if u are looking for a very fast laptop harddrive go with the seagate savvio
37gb or 73 gb at 10,000rpm wooo
yes this is a 2.5 in hard drive too
http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q4/seagate-savvio/index.x?pg=1
but the price is insane so if ur willing to pay the price get that
if not i think the travelstar is the best option
just my 2cents
