How does a cell phone download files. I dont want to get jacked for downloading a ringer that dosnt even sound good. I have made a ringer n my computer but how can I send it to my phone. There are lots of sites that will let you type in your cell number and you will get a message asking if you want ot download. You click yes... or whatever is your case... and it downloads. I know how to host sites from my computers so I'm sure I can host it but how do I send it.

depending on your phone, you can download your customized ringtones via WAP or through a data cable and software provided by your phone manufacturer.

I want to host it through wap... sorry i forgot to mention that... I have a Samsung E105 but I thought that all of the cells took songs the same way... not games... thanks. How would I host a wap?

I'm not particular with your phone's capabilities but if it is capable of playing MIDI tones, then just upload it on the server where you use to host sites in (check usage licences). Next, using your phone's built-in web/wap browser type the exact location of your MIDI tone on the host computer. Don't forget to append the .midi or .mid file extension. this works even with pictures your cellphone is capable of displaying.

i think it would be more convenient if you'll use the software included with your phone to upload media to your phone if your phone has it.
