I seem to have a problem where my CPU (athlon XP 1800 at 1.5ghz) seems to freeze up at 50C. I know 50C is an average temp, so im confuddled as to what might be causing it... the fan runs at the right speed... 5200ish RPM and this only started happening recently (and suddenly, no new hardware etc). Could it be bad ventilation in the case?

like i said i identified the problem in the cpu, but if it helps...

thats what i can remember if you need more it means ill have to go look at the part's packaging and that requires getting up :)

Canned Air. Availible at any walmart/kmart/radio shack/best buy....

Do not use a vacuum, unless it is a "tech" vacuum. The ESD from regular vacuums will fry your MoBo/Processor. You can get a special vacuum at Best Buy/Radio Shack/CompUSA...
