Persa, download and run Microsoft Antispyware and then post another HiJack Log afterwards to see if it's clean. We've been having splended results with this program and it's free for now. Liz

Hello and welcome to the Tech Forums:

You are currently using HijackThis from a temp directory. This can cause problems. Please create a directory on your C:\ drive called C:\HJT and download and unzip HijackThis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on.

1. Please go to you're 'My Documents' folder, right-click and select 'New > Folder' and name the folder 'HJT'.

2. Download Hijackthis to the new folder:
HijackThis 1.99

3. Double Click on 'HijackThis.zip' to extract and install HijackThis.exe to the new folder.

4. Close ALL windows except HJT

5. SCAN with HJT and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')

6. POST the log in this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

Please make sure you post the entire log including the top portion:

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS SOME OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

For a tutorial on how to use HijackThis please see the following link:

Using HijackThis Tutorial

Please make sure that you close all browser windows and any other open windows you have open prior to doing a HJT scan.

Thank you, please post back a new HijackThis Log.

Did I not just do that twice already?...

Posted by: rstones12

Here is where you are running HJT from:

C:\Documents and Settings\Persa_\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\TBR319OE\hijackthis[1]\HijackThis.exe

Posted by: Persa

so what? The log will still be the same. i dont care about making backup files or anything, i dnt even think hijack this will even fix my picture problem. If it did u guys might of actually helped me out after all this time.

Posted by: rstones12

If you would like assistance please follow the instructions provided. We are trying to help, like I stated before running HJT from a temporary folder can cause problems. If you choose to run HJT from a temporary directory than I can be of no assistance.

Hope you understand.
Thanks
I know there are similar forums out there but none of them solved my problem
IF you can't cooperate with simple instructions, how can anyone help you? Putting the log in a temp folder creates problems. You must have backups in their proper place. And cooperation with log readers is important. If you don't believe we can help you then why should we try. We are more than willing to try but you must also do your part as well. Liz

Persa, "do you want our help or not" if so please
move it to a folder and loose the negativity or the thread will be
closed and help will be given to others. Please remember we are all
volunteers offering free assistance. Liz TF Security Team Leader
