Hi,
I'm running a win98 system. The pc used to have two HDs, but one failed and was dismantelled. I've uninstalled. My temp file used to be on the faulty HD.
I tried to reinstall officexp, but keep being kicked of with the following error message (translated freely from Hebrew):

"An error in opening the log of the installation registraion file. Make sure that the location mentioned for the log file exists and that it is writable."

How can I renable installation in the absence of the original HD?

How was the OS setup on the drives? Which one was it on? And which one was the Xp on originally?

The OS was installed on the functioning HD.

2. "which one was the Xp on originally?"
The OfficeXP was installed on the malfunctioning HD.
