Looks like you have helped several others with the about:blank home page issue. I will appreciate any help you can provide. I've attached the log file generated by Hijackthis v1.99

After fixing , reboot your computer to safe mode

Delete all the windows temporary files, internet cache,temp files & cookies.

Now , login to normal mode and download ad-aware se and spybot s&d .Install , update and do a full scan with them.

If you still have problems, please post your new log again
