How do you compress your file after recording? I don't want a 2gb file for a 1 hour show!

You could always convert it to DivX.

This TechTV editorial will get you started on the right track. I suggest using Vidiomi to encode your file. (Do a search on google.com) I have used it to convert very large, several Gig, DVDs to Divx and about a Gig to just under a Gig.
