I ran sbsd yesterday, and it found amongst other things something called WildTangent Web Browser. It couldn't be removed straight away, and I had to run sbsd on start up. Now when I boot up I get the following RUNDLL error message:
Error loading C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cda Engine0400.dll
The specified module cound not be found
I tried using the add/remove program to get rid of the WildTangent completely but it says it's already been removed, and simply deleted the program name from the list. I've searched all files & folders for any trace, but have found nothing, and now I'm wondering what program might need the WildTangent application on start up for the error message to keep popping up!!!?
All I've gathered from google searches is that WildTangent has something to do with gaming?! I really don't know where it came from in the first place? Is it part of XP itself? And do I actually need it? If not, how do I stop the error message at start up?
Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

wildtangent is a program that includes a variety of games. i believe it comes with most xp computers. you probably can get rid of the startup message through msconfig, but i am not sure.

Try downloading and running HijackThis.
Caution: Do NOT fix anything unless you are sure what you are fixing. Some list items are required for your PC functioning.
Try this to finish removal of WildTangent:
Restart your computer in safe mode. Open regedit (Click Start > Run, type regedit) and locate the following key:
[bHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cu
rrentVersion\Run. In the right pane, find and delete the following entries ( if they exists):
wcmdmgr
wt gamechannel
ddcm
Close registry editor and restart your computer. Open your Window directory ( for example: c:\windows), then open the WT folder, delete all the files in it.

Thanx guys,
I did actually run HijackThis before reading your posts, found the wildtangent in there! I made a back up just in case....n then got hjt to fix/delete the entry. Everything seems to be running ok, and it's gotten rid of the start up error message.
My comp was bought as a WinME system, but I updated to XP a few months ago.
Apparently WildTangent is something to do with DirectX?
Anyway, thank you both for your help!

It seems like you got everything worked out but I just wanted to add my 2 cents. This always seems to happen when Wild Tangent is removed and I beleive it is because Windows is still trying to access the program (because it is in the startup menu) and so it gives you the error message when I can't find the propper files to load the program. So the quick fix with this error message after Wild Tangent has been removed is to run 'msconfig' and uncheck 'wild tangent' from the startup section and then restart your computer. This stops Windows from trying to start this program that no longer resides on you computer and so it stops the error message.
