HI all,

Has anybody ever tried to set up a voip system?
I need to find literature on how to built a device to connect a phone to a pc.
I understand such hardware is available everywhere, but I have to actually built such a device ( on PCB or something )as part of a project. Another option is to built a device which would connect directlly to the phone socket having a ADC and DAC onboard a microprocessor etc.
Would it be better to use USB or PCI intreface?

Can anybody suggest a good application to test a voip system?
Any good links or books on voip?
