GTA worked just fine for me. A classic for sure!
If you haven't got an email, check your spambox... maybe it was recognized as spam (which it aint)

Posted by: DEATH-INCARNATE

i dont think you will get it stickied as those links are most likely all underground links and pirate games.

you should not post stuff like that. i know its cool and i am tempted too but it should not be done. WHY DO YOU THINK PC GAMES ARE SO EXPENSIVE THESE DAYS; .... BECAUSE OF ALL THE PIRATING.

DEATH-INCARNATE

Posted by: uNsaiN

Uh... Every single one of those games is free. Check yourself. Even the GTA ones. Rockstar released them. As far as I know, PC games have always been this expensive, except now some of the new ones are starting to be 55 dollars. Please research before accusing me of posting pirated games. I am not for that stuff at all.

Posted by: geo3tech
DEATH-INCARNATE i dont think you will get it stickied as those links are most likely all underground links and pirate games.
wtf death-incarnate. unsain took the time to post these free games for us and we should be thankful for that. What is this coming at him saying " they're all pirated" even before you look at each of them. If they're pirated, they wouldn't really make a webpage and go like " Hey guys i have pirated games on my homepage, come check it out".

If you saw the GTA replies and go yeah they're pirated gta3s, then look at it again. It's GTA1!! which would sell for like 50 cents if they actually did sell it. but rockstar just gives it to anyone so it's free.

Posted by: joebx902004

What do you think is the best MMORPG like runescape?

Posted by: DEATH-INCARNATE

RIGHT I WAS WRONG TO SAY THAT SO BLUNTLY, SORRY GUYS.

i thought it was a site like "www.waresfreaks.com". NOW BOY THERE'S A PLACE WITH PIRATED STUFF. (PS : DONT GO THERE YOU GET NAILED WITH SPYWARE).

i just question when i see stuff like free games, i should have looked into it.

Posted by: jorsoft03

When Ultima 7 (both of them) was new, it cost $79.99 for the talkie version. Games are expensive *now*?

Posted by: Jae

Can i trust fileplanet? they ask for my address and stuff when i join, is it safe?

Posted by: Greg

Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory is a sweet online multiplayer game. I recommend it, but make sure to get the ET Pro download off their website, and some maps too so they dont have to download in the game.

Posted by: Oceanb0rn

First of all, Fileplanet is a lousy site to be putting personal information in... Go to Bugmenot.com and get an anonymous login/pass and use that. Save yourself some time. (Bugmenot.com is a site that provides login/pass information to "ghost account" on sites like FP that require a registration, but it's free, they just want someone to spam in exchange for their costs...)

Second of all, Crimsonland is not free. It's a demo. It's a **** of a good game, though, as I have the full version. The same company makes a Breakout clone called Ricochet, but I only played the demo. Still, it's a great little game, if Breakout's your thing.

Thanks to Unsain for posting the list.

However, to get any of them they want you to sign up for thier mailing list.

Here is a new link

Yes, America's Army is the best! It is an awesome game with awesome graphics! The US Government spent nearly 8 million dollars to create and distribute this game in hopes of recruiting new people to join the US Army.

I think Ragnarok Online is now free until level 30 on the offical servers. But if you don't mind a little bit of screwing around on the software client, you can connect to the free servers.

Also if you look on some of the BT site, you can find RO Clients are ready tweaked for the free servers.

Well... my computer is quite junky... but does anyone know of any way I can speed up the download of GTA 2 on a 56k Modem... at the rate it goes it will take anywhere from 10 to 22 hours.

Posted by: Juice Daddy

I have yet to read the entire forum but I want a window based game that is downloadable and playable offline and very graphic,

the list is very long and I don't want to have to look at each thing to find something I like

so could someone give me a link to follow for a fun game...

something adictive like bejeweled, but more extensive/deep...
not sure how else to put it , but a link would be great...

Posted by: Lonewolf5460

If you look back a little ways you will see that the GTA issue has been looked into.

Considering its been a year ago that this list was made, I'm surprised that there aren't more dead links.

FREESPACE 2 OPEN

It's nowy legally shareable as long as there is no profit made
FS2_Open / the SCP / Source Code Project

From the time it became apparent that there would be no FS3 the most repeated complaint the community had was that Volition wouldn't release the source code so that the community could work on it themselves. However, Volition did release the source code and many of those within the community with programming experience got to work on it. The result was FS2_open. The project to make FS2_open has come to be known (originally enough) as the Source Code Project (SCP).

FS2_open is not FS3. Instead it is a enhancement of the original Freespace 2 engine. The idea is that by running FS2_open you can play the Freespace 2 main campaign and all the Freespace 2 mods with better graphics, augmented AI and better mod support. In addition to this improvements have been made to several of the games basics to add new kinds of weapons and missions that couldn't be done before. These effects won't show up in the main campaign but will show up when special "Made for SCP" mods begin to appear.

The differences between FS2 retail and FS2_open are fairly extensive. Some think it is almost like playing a new game.
This is an excellent list of Free-to-play games. At the moment the game that I am enjoying is called Corum Online. It is an MMORPG that was a huge hit in the Japanese and Korean Market for the past couple of years and it was finally brought to the US by a company called GPotato. The game is based on taking the control of dungeons scattered throughout the world. You can maintain possession and prevent other guilds/players from taking over your dungeon. GPotato also offers 3 other games that are lots of fun. I would highly recommend that you check it out!!

G potatoes,
Nice name for a game provider.
Anyway I am currently sticking to IJJI.
Playing Gunz Online daily.
