i have just put them onlline, ok so they arent that great but i am hoping that ppl will post and become members so that i can improve them, they arent all about tech like this one which is awesome i may add, but i am hoping that over time i may be able to improve them, and maybe get my own url/servers etc,

link:

what do i need to host a proper forum?

Sound good but when I go to that link it takes me to proboards.com

When you say what do I need to host a proper forum it all depends on which forum software you are going to use.
Tech Forums uses vBulletin but that doesn't come cheap:( But there are alot of free software forums about.

PHPBB (http://www.phpbb.com/) is free, but you need hosting that supports PHP. My first suggestion to you is to look into getting some decent hosting (not free), because there's no way I'd regularly visit a forum that has a popup on every page.

Free: phpbb and Invision Board are the best two free ones IMO.

Vbulletin cost:
Leased License (1 year) $85US
vBulletin Owned License (Life Time with one year of updates) $160US

As for hosting order a package with todayshost.com and we will give you a domain of your choose for free.

Thankyou
