Hi,
I have a problem with a pop up banner that appears at the bottem every time I open my home page.
The original site is [URL]http://www.mywebsearch.com[/URL]
and there is also a toolbar installed that I don't want
how do I remove it.:mad:

First, create a folder for HijackThis in the root folder of your hard drive

example

C:/HJT
C/hijackthis

and put hijack this into that folder

Close all open windows and open HIJACK THIS. Click [b]“Scan”[/b] . When the scan is finished (it only takes a second), the scan button will change to[b]“Save Log”[/b]. Click on[b]“Save Log”[/b] and save it to NotePad. Copy the entire log and paste it here.

[color=red][b]DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET[/b][/color] , most items that appear in the log are harmless or even needed. Wait for someone to analyze the scan and advise

mywebsearch can be safely removed by x cleaner.
