I use Shaw Cable with the modem. I would like to host the files that my website will use with my computer. What would be the best program for this? And does shaw limit the ammount of files that get downloaded from me?

You'll have to check with Shaw first for any bandwidth transfer restrictions, and if any outgoing ports are blocked.

[url=http://www.apache.org/]Apache[/url] is a secure web server software and fairly easy to set up.

If any outgoing ports are blocked, you can run it on a different port, as long as it doesn't violate Shaw's TOS.

Furthermore, set up port forwarding if you have a router firewall enabled.

I am using shaw too!!! I used apache and it worked great. Where are you located?

canada-alberta-calgary if you dont know calgary better watch the stanley cup playoffs. What file do i download? there is a big list and lots of catagorys in every mirror?
