Discuss Installing ADSL

 I'm quite confused about installing ADSL.
I am thinking of getting 512kb/s ADSL intenet from supanet (www.supanet.com), but I am not sure upon how to install it.
I am included a picture of all the telephone sockets in the house and the modem and the 2 computers. I am hoping to just unplug the usb modem from one pc and into the other and start internet access immediately.
I am wondering where the micro filters (filter the phone from the internet for those who do not know what one is) should go and what the other plug, adapter, or whatever you want to call it on the other end of the modem is.
Look at the diagram and you'll understand.

Thanks,
Alan

If you have enough filters, put one in the wall socket then put one on the modem end. What is the other plug on the modem, what kind of modem is it? Does supanet have a support page?
Looking at my modem I have this.

Since i have not yet purchased the modem, all i know is that it is a usb modem and the cable running from the modem to the micro filter looks similar to that running from a NIC or 56k internet modem.
Also, how big is the cable running from the back of the modem to the micro filter?

The RJ11 is your basic phone line, you want to run that from the main socket on the wall to your modem or 56K dial-up. What you should be running on a NIC is RJ45, a slightly different connector.
Basically you will plug the micro-filter into the wall socket, then run your normal phone line from the filter to the next filter. You may have to run down to Curry's or Dixon's or Maplin or something for an adapter and extra line. Your modem should come with RJ11 (American phone line just like the kind that plugs into your dial-up modem on the back of the computer) and you will run that from the filter to the modem. There is a pic of the filters below.
The only other wire on the USB modem will be the USB cable itself and that will run from the modem to one of your USB ports.
If you haven't gone with Supanet yet, look up www.pipex.com that's who I have and I can not complain, the modem was free and they gave me two free micro filters.
