My IIS 6 (windows 2003 server) shuts down by itself at least once a day.

Here the error in the Event Viewer < System:
Service Control Manager, Event:7023, User: N/A, Category: None.

Error Detail:
The World Wide Web Publishing Service service terminated with the following error:
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.

Currently I have two websites in IIS and only the second site is running. The default site is stopped. Both of them are on Port 80. Could this be a problem? But only one site is running.

Check and make sure you have the latest patches and updates.. That could help out allot.
