We had an attempt at this a while back which got messy real fast. This should be pretty cool.
I started a group map for TF on Frappr. Sign up (it's free) and add your info. Frappr puts a marker for your location. And it uses a world-wide map, not just the US.

joined. it's amazing to see quite how spread out people are. you dont really appreciate that when just looking at the "From: xxxxxx" part. Seeing it on a map is much different.

i dont know if anyone knows, but you can put markers on places... i placed one... Morton Salt Company close to my house. Its a huge salt mine... pretty cool.

I moved this to New Member Introductions and stickied it. I also tidied it up a little.
This way, new members can see that TF is a global site, and have a chance to add themselves to the map.
I plan on keeping an eye on this, so it won't become an eyesore with a lot of... um... off-topic stuff.
