Discuss FreeBSD - Minimum System Requirements

I havn't been able to find what FreeBSD's minimum system requirements are. I know their lower then linux's. I want to see if I will be able to install it on a couple of computers currently running 95/98. What is it for GUI and text only.

Since freeBSD still supports the 386 chip architecture (aside from 386SX), anything running win95/98 should run BSD without incident. As for running X, you could probably use a minimal wm like blackbox, xfce, etc with relative ease.
As far as specific reqs go... I'm just not sure.

Thxs. I was looking around for these for a while and couldn't find anything. Does blackbox come with the freeBSD instilation disk or will I have to install it via the command line?

0.65.0 of blackbox is on the installation disks... as are numerous other wm's. You shouldn't have any trouble finding one that suits your needs.
