I thought this might help a lot of people
Go to command prompt "C:\>"
At command Prompt type in "ftp ftp.opera.com " i.e. C:\>ftp ftp.opera.com & hit enter
It would ask you for the user name & password.
Put in the user name : anonymous & Password : (i.e. hit enter when it asks for the password)
One would get a prompt "ftp>"
At this prompt type in the following commands in a sequence

ftp> cd pub
ftp> cd opera
ftp> cd win
ftp> cd 606
ftp> cd en
ftp> cd java
ftp> mget ow32enen606j.exe

The downloading of the file would start in the root directory of the HDD i.e. in the C:\
The Browser can be installed onto the computer if u are able to connect to the Internet & if the I.E. has got corrupted.
