Discuss Network Storage

Is it possible to take one of these external hard drives and make them available to all network computers at once by somehow connecting it to the network (ethernet, wireless, etc.). This just looks like something that should be solved. I think alot of people/businesses would benefit.

Anyone?

Yes....Funny you mention that because this is just about what I am going to buy. You can access it from the outside as well. It a gateway/router/switch/120GB Drive combo. I'll post the link in a bit...But I believe I saw this in a tigerdirect mag.
120GB was one of the mid-level....you can get more space or less.

this concept has been around a long time. Network Attached Storage is very expensive. here's another NAS:

it would be much cheaper to simply set a folder on your computer for storage and give user access to it. another way is get a USB external hard disk and share it on the network. here's a good one:

Yea, Tritton was the brand that I was thinking of originally...read a lot of good things about this and cna't wait to try it out.
I like the pure VPN functionality....that's why I wanted to go with this rather than the USB external...but yea, you could totally do that too if you just wanted a simple way to share through a network.
