How to Read a SIM Card

I need to read a SIM card on an LG model lm-x220mb, which is microsdhc. I know that SIM cards do not typically hold information; however, I do need to see if this one has been backed up with contacts. I tried inserting it into my iPhone, but it did not work (said it was not the same carrier, or something like that). How can I see what is on this SIM card? I called around to a couple local repair shops - none could help me. Any suggestions?

Thank you, Joe. But I did that, and it would not read. I plugged it in to my computer, and it said e or f drive, I neither drive shows up on my laptop.

First off SIM and MicroSD are diffrent they require diffrent readers You need a sim card reader and then you have to mount the media and that depends on os version but if you ran vmware with Ubuntu it might recognize it if Apple run a containor with Ubuntu.

It's been a while since your post, but I wanted to offer some insight.
Reading a SIM card is pretty easy, especially if you're just trying to see what's on it. Most phones have a slot for the SIM card, usually located near the battery or on the side of the phone. You just need a SIM card reader, which you can usually find online or at electronics stores.
Once you have the reader, just insert the SIM card into the reader and plug it into your computer. You should be able to access the contents of the SIM card, like contacts and messages, through your computer's file explorer. If you're trying to read a SIM card for a specific purpose, like transferring contacts or backing up data, there are apps and software available that can help with that. Sims Direct might have some recommendations for you.
